My name is Geoff Cahill and I’m a writer.

Books and short stories have played a short but joyous role in my life.  As I child, I never found pleasure in reading a book; however, having a book read to me by my mother or father was AWESOME!  My freshman year of high school was the time when I really got into reading and subsequently, writing after discovering that famous authors like Stephen King and Dean Koontz started out in the same place I did: a starving writer; and through my first experience with a creative writing class.

Books acted as an escape from the world, as they often do, and they soon came to be one of my primary means of entertainment.  Video games–though not as much lately–, movies, and TV shows are my other means of sedentary fun to remove myself from the worries of the world.

My time spent in front of a screen is broken by having amazing family and friends that I am eager to hang out with because without them and their love and support I would not be able to enjoy what I do.

Writing has become my life and while bouts of writer’s block abound and real life distresses hinder my work, writing is always the one place where I can go and create a magical world where everything is perfect.
